Noah Reis Ramma, born in 2000 in Herdecke, is a pianist and composer with German-Brazilian roots. He lives and works in Berlin.

After classical piano training at the Städtische Musikschule Gelsenkirchen, he began studying jazz and improvisation at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen in 2018 — first completing his Bachelor's, then his Master's, most recently under Thomas Rückert and Martin Sasse. Alongside his studies, he was selected for the WDR Big Band Composers Fellowship — a two-year development program under the patronage of Vince Mendoza, Composer in Residence of the WDR Big Band. At the Kölner Funkhaus, he studied composition and arrangement with Florian Ross, received instruction from Bob Mintzer and Vince Mendoza himself, and developed original pieces that were ultimately performed by the WDR Big Band at the program's concluding concert.

His profile has been defined by a number of significant distinctions:

The Folkwang Prize in the jazz category (2025), the Next Generation Jazz Lab scholarship from the St. Moritz Jazz Festival (2026), and third prize in the composition competition of the JJO NRW (2022). As a young student, he also earned repeated first prizes as a classical pianist at the "Jugend Musiziert" competition.

As a composer, Noah Reis Ramma is increasingly active in theater and film. He wrote the music for Florentina Holzinger's production A Year Without Summer (2025), as well as for the short film 360 Grad – Rundum Ruhr, which is part of the permanent exhibition at the Ruhrmuseum on Zeche Zollverein — on display until approximately 2034. In 2026, he received a teaching appointment at the Folkwang University of the Arts, in which capacity he composed the music for the Shakespeare Summer Theater production of the acting department.

On stage, he performs as pianist, arranger, and Musical Director of the project Percival and the Chanson with Percival Duke, with whom he has been touring regularly since 2024. He is also a core member of the band Metromara with Mara Minjoli.

Noah has performed at venues and festivals including the New Colours Jazz Festival, Jazzahead in Bremen, the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, and the Niederrhein Musikfestival.
